Entry #5
Okay, I am doing a series of songs that have either been forgotten, were never noticed, or were thrown out of the spotlight by the band's others hit/s.
The first song falls in the last catagory. In 1985, an unknown Norwegian synth-pop group released their debut album Hunting High and Low. That album sold over 10 million units world wide and spawned the mega-famous ( it hit #1 on the charts in 36 countries) and still popular song Take on Me.
But since all this is about the forgot ones we will neglect that one and move on to the second single of the album. It didn't fare so well, only reaching 20 on the US Billboard charts and was their last top 40 single. But it shows lead singer and general all round sexy man Morten Harket's vocal abilities far better in my opinion, and is far more emotional than Take on Me.
This is The Sun Always Shines on TV and you're listening to a-ha.
BTW: feel free to give ideas for more tunes in this series if wanted, but remember I am the ultimate judge on this matter and if I don't like it I won't do it FULL STOP.
