Toto break-up blog

Posted by positively-negative Jun. 10, 2008 @ 2:46 AM EDT

This here blog is to show our sadness at the recent disbanding of Toto and to remenisce about the good music that they made. It seems as though Steve Lukather and the others no longer had the energy to go on and that it was no longer Toto as they wanted it. Official statement by Steve Lukather regarding the break-up for those that don't believe.

For instance of the Grammy winning Toto IV:

"Africa"

.

"Rosanna"

.

And off the debut Toto:
"Hold the Line"

.

SHOW YOUR APPRECIATION TO THESE FINE FELLOWS AND THEIR GLORIOUS MUSIC!

Taking a break off NG

Posted by positively-negative May. 23, 2008 @ 2:38 PM EDT

I have come to the conclusion that at this moment, there is not a lot on NG that I am even remotely interested in apart from a few Clubs & Crews and the odd interesting topic in General (and by odd I mean maybe one in every 100 that I even bother opening if that.)

I might just leave NG for a period of time. I've got a few things going on at the moment and over the next while; exams soon, a rather pathetic attempt at a novel in the works, trying to create some proper and meaningful friendships in the real world, dealing with a bad turn on my depression, figure out what to do next year and subsequent years, get somewhat fit... In general try and sort out all my major issues.

I won't give you a time to expect me back fulltime on NG as that would be unfair on all of you as well as to myself, nor will I do a LastSpartan and say that I'm leaving only to turn up a week or two later demanding that everyone sucks my dick cause I'm back. I might check my PM and userpage now and then as well as C&C, but otherwise that's it really for NG.

Your's truely in anger and resentment.

Under-appreciated songs #1

Posted by positively-negative May. 17, 2008 @ 9:51 AM EDT

Okay, I am doing a series of songs that have either been forgotten, were never noticed, or were thrown out of the spotlight by the band's others hit/s.

The first song falls in the last catagory. In 1985, an unknown Norwegian synth-pop group released their debut album Hunting High and Low. That album sold over 10 million units world wide and spawned the mega-famous ( it hit #1 on the charts in 36 countries) and still popular song Take on Me.

But since all this is about the forgot ones we will neglect that one and move on to the second single of the album. It didn't fare so well, only reaching 20 on the US Billboard charts and was their last top 40 single. But it shows lead singer and general all round sexy man Morten Harket's vocal abilities far better in my opinion, and is far more emotional than Take on Me.

This is The Sun Always Shines on TV and you're listening to a-ha.

.

BTW: feel free to give ideas for more tunes in this series if wanted, but remember I am the ultimate judge on this matter and if I don't like it I won't do it FULL STOP.

Today was ment to be special

Posted by positively-negative Mar. 25, 2008 @ 10:49 AM EDT

Today, I was going to do something brave and drastic, I was going to ask the nice brown-headed girl, with the sweet voice who sits beside me in one of my English tutorials if she wanted to go out after class. (I know she has it free because the whole group generally chat afterwards for 20 minutes.)

But alas, a cruel twist of fate has derailed my plans of potential love and affection. Jesus getting nailed to a plank of wood by a couple of pissed off Jews and Romans plus some Calvinists founding the city in which I live the next day have ment that ALL tutorials in that subject have been cancelled for the week.

FUCK!!!

Love and me somehow not to be.

Well, this week at least.

UPDATE:

Today we had a great time after class discussing our lives and going home to have a nap. Still procrastinated, but she said I should go to the show she is in, so I might do it.

Woke up this morning, and realised that

Posted by positively-negative Dec. 14, 2007 @ 2:41 PM EST

Somewhere in between those hours of restlessness and ruckous, the 18th anniversary of my coming into this world occured. Thus with this event, I can get boozed, buy porn, tabacco products and fireworks in a 100% legal manner.

My first day on sleeping tablets

Posted by positively-negative Jul. 19, 2007 @ 12:07 AM EDT

And god it is horrid. It is only marginally better than getting 2-3 hours sleep. This morning I got up tired as hell and was basically half asleep for most of the day (apart from classics, which was so boring I was actually asleep.) But the fact that the lack of sleep was part of the cause of my depression, I need to keep taking it.

In other words, show me some fucking love before I go all emo you fuckheads!!!!
